August 18th, 2008 by Admin

Just Inspired was an event celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Toledo skate shop Just Skateboards. Both Ryan Shull and Michael Paulus teamed up to create an art event that celebrated the local skate based creative scene. At the event we had DJ Rob Riddum spinning with both beer and wine available for all attendees. After the art show an afterhours show was held at Frankies with the assistance of Toledo’s event producers Verso Group. Originally the Just Inspired event was going to take place at the other cities within Ohio but after facing the reality of organizing an event remotely the two organizers decided to let it be and move on with their own future projects. What does that mean for the future of Just Inspired? If you enjoyed the event on August 18th 2007, don’t be surprised if we bring you another event chuck full of inspiration and fun. Keep getting just inspired and using that inspiration to skate and create.

So The Show Must Go On!

September 8th, 2007 by Admin

We are starting to work on details and take on submissions and entries for the Columbus stop on our Just Inspired Art Event.

It is our hope to have the show travel to most of the cities in Ohio and be a show that embraces the different cities’ skate/art scene. I’ve been discussing details with some event planners and artists in a few cities. I think by the time the show hits its final destination it will be almost a completely different show, doubling in size. I’d like to add at least 5 artist from each city. Not limited to, but at least. I think we need that many just to represent the scene and I want them to hopefully embrace it as theirs, because if things go to plan, it will be an Ohio and Midwest skater art show. We had our Toledo show, and it went great, now its time to bridge the gap between cities, after all skateboarding already does that. Toledo’s skate scene has its hand out, will you shake it and bring this event home with us?

Thank you Toledo!

August 20th, 2007 by Admin

Big huge thanks to everyone. Just, Space237, Jakprints, Frankie’s, Culture Clash and many more for their support and help to make this event a huge success. It was amazing to see everyone and what a good time had by all.

Big thanks to all the artists and their dedicated hard work to get us stuff on-time. Without you there is no show. Brian Gibson…that video rocked. Thanks to the DJ’s for setting the tone.

The bands Dirty Party, CL1 and HiFi Handgrenades….thank you, thank you, thank you.

Space 237…you ladies rock!!! The space was great, the food was great and your tolerance to an ambitious crowd made it all worth while.

Last but not least…thank you to the Toledo skate community. It wouldn’t have been a 10 year anniversary party without you.

Overall it was alot to take in…we have photos, video and probably alot of stories we can share but give a couple days to get it all around.

Thanks again Toledo, lets keep creating and rollin’.
